Medeama SC Players Shine After FC United Success at Surf Cup International Morocco
January 14, 2026
The partnership between Global Sports Experiences (GSE), International Development Academy (IDA), and Medeama Sporting Club continues to demonstrate how international exposure and elite competition can accelerate player development and unlock new professional pathways.
A clear example of this impact came at Surf Cup International Morocco 2024, where four Medeama players joined the FC United program. Competing against top opposition from across Europe, Africa, and beyond, the FC United squad made history by becoming the first-ever U19 champions of Surf Cup International Morocco.
Among that title-winning group were Kelvin Nkrumah and David Boison Frimpong — two players whose trajectories since the tournament powerfully highlight the value of strong partnerships and structured international opportunities.

Kelvin Nkrumah: From International Tournament to National Team Recognition
Following a standout summer with FC United in Morocco, Kelvin Nkrumah has taken significant strides in his professional career. Since returning to Ghana, Kelvin has become a regular feature for Medeama SC’s first team, contributing consistently in domestic competition.
At the time of writing, Medeama SC are strong contenders for the Ghanaian Premier League title, with Kelvin playing an important role despite his young age. His development has also been recognised at international level, earning multiple call-ups to the Ghana U20 national team.
In a remarkable milestone, Kelvin received his first senior Ghana national team call-up in November 2025, at just 18 years old — a testament to both his talent and the accelerated progression he has achieved through international competition.
Kelvin’s journey reflects exactly what GSE aims to create through its tournaments and global experiences: platforms that challenge players at the highest level, expand their horizons, and prepare them for the realities of professional football.

David Boison Frimpong: Making an Immediate Impact in Europe
Another standout from the same FC United squad is David Boison Frimpong, whose pathway has now taken him into European football.
During the 2025 summer transfer window, David joined FC Copenhagen on loan, linking up with the Danish champions’ U19 team. Since arriving in Denmark, he has made an immediate impression, featuring regularly in both the Danish U19 league and the UEFA Youth League.
At the time of writing, David has recorded 7 goals in 15 appearances, underlining his attacking quality, adaptability, and potential in one of Europe’s most competitive development environments.
Looking Ahead
GSE and IDA proudly congratulate Kelvin Nkrumah and David Boison Frimpong on their continued success, as well as Medeama SC for their commitment to player development and for embracing the value of international opportunity.
Their progress is a powerful example of what becomes possible when clubs, academies, and global platforms collaborate with a shared vision. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Medeama SC and to creating even more international opportunities for the next generation of talented players.
