IDA Valencia Easter Cup – Tournament Rules
Dates: April 17–20, 2025
Location: Valencia, Spain

Categories (8v8 Format Only)
Boys:
U12: Players born after 1/1/2013
U11: Players born after 1/1/2014
U10: Players born after 1/1/2015
U9: Players born after 1/1/2016

Girls:
U11: Players born after 1/1/2014

Game Format
8v8 only for all age groups
Offside Rule: Enforced. If no specific offside line is marked, the edge of the goal box will serve as the offside line.

Ball Size
Size 4 for all matches

Game Duration
Two halves of 25 minutes
5-minute halftime (subject to adjustment by Tournament Director)
Running clock – referee is the official timekeeper
No extra time – tied knockout matches go directly to penalty kicks

Roster Rules
Max Roster Size: 18 players
Overage Players: 2 overage players allowed (must be approved in advance)
Substitutions: Unlimited rolling substitutions permitted

Tournament Structure
All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 4 matches. Bracket formats are as follows:

Brackets of 8:
2 groups of 4 teams
Top 2 from each group advance to Gold Semifinals
Bottom 2 from each group advance to Silver Semifinals

Brackets of 10:
2 groups of 5 teams
Top 2 from each group advance to Gold Semifinals
3rd and 4th place teams advance to Silver Semifinals
5th place teams play a Consolation Match

The tournament committee reserves the right to adjust Silver match-ups to avoid repeat games.

Forfeits
Grace Period: 10 minutes after scheduled kickoff
Minimum Players: 5 required to begin a match
Scoring: Forfeits recorded as a 3-0 win for opponent
Ineligibility: Forfeiting team cannot win group or qualify as wild card
Match Termination: Treated as forfeit

Red Card Policy
Automatic Suspension: 1 match for red cards or two yellows in a game
Further Sanctions: Possible based on severity and referee report
No Appeals during the tournament

Uniform Submission
Teams must submit home and away kits at least 3 days prior to event
In case of a color conflict, away team must change

Field & Game Equipment
Shin guards required (FIFA Laws)
Benches: Teams and coaches on one side; spectators on the opposite
Casts: Allowed if padded and approved by referee
Match Balls: Provided by the tournament; teams must bring a backup FIFA-approved ball

Protests and Appeals
Must be submitted in writing within 1 hour after match
All decisions made by the Tournament Committee are final

Sanctioning and Referees
The tournament is sanctioned by the Valencian Football Federation
All referees are officially appointed

Permission to Travel
International teams must provide official travel authorization from their national federation
Failure to provide required documentation may result in disqualification
