Beyond the Field
The tournament offered more than just high-level competition. Through a partnership with Global Sports Experiences (GSE), players and staff were treated to guided sightseeing tours across Rome—exploring some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the Colosseum, Vatican City, Trevi Fountain, and more. For many, it was their first time experiencing the history, beauty, and energy of the Eternal City.

Teams also had the chance to attend a thrilling Europa League Quarterfinal at the Stadio Olimpico, where Lazio and Bodø/Glimt went to extra time and penalties, with the Norwegian side pulling off a dramatic upset in front of a roaring crowd.

Tournament Director Tommaso Trevisan reflected on the week, saying, “This year’s Surf Cup International in Rome was another outstanding success. We had fantastic talent on display, incredible local and international clubs, and an unforgettable cultural experience for every participant. Bringing together competition, culture, and community is what this event is all about, and we’re already looking forward to what’s next.”
