Global Sports Experiences is pleased to welcome Folsom Lake Surf Soccer Club as an alliance partner, building on a connection established through the club’s players who have traveled with GSE through Surf Select.

The partnership brings international tournaments, custom team tours, and fan travel opportunities to the wider Folsom Lake Surf community. Planning is already underway for the club’s U15 boys to participate in Surf Cup International Rome over Easter.

From Surf Select Experiences to a Club Partnership

Folsom Lake Surf players have already participated in GSE experiences through Surf Select. Camille Rabe, Naomi Andrews, and Ella Shaw of the 2010/11G ECNL RL team competed in England with Surf Select White, finishing as finalists at the Royal Preseason Cup. Max Gonsalves of the 2008/09B ECNL team also traveled to England with Surf Select, while Lucas Thompson and Tate McAninch of the 2010/11B ECNL team competed in Spain.

The new alliance partnership gives GSE and Folsom Lake Surf a foundation to build on those individual experiences and develop further travel opportunities for the club’s teams and families.

Supporting Development Through International Travel

Through the partnership, players and coaches will have access to international tournaments and custom team tours, with opportunities to face professional academies and youth clubs abroad. Exposure to different playing styles and tactical approaches gives players new challenges and coaches a fresh perspective on their teams’ development.

Off the field, itineraries can include city tours, stadium visits, and opportunities to experience the local soccer culture. Traveling and competing together also gives teammates time to strengthen their relationships and build memories beyond their regular season.

Bringing Families into the Experience

The partnership also includes opportunities for parents and supporters to experience international soccer through dedicated fan travel programs. Alongside team travel, stand-alone fan experiences can combine sightseeing, cultural activities, and professional matches, subject to schedules and availability. These trips give families another way to connect with the game and share in the club’s international experiences.
